Hello all! I am so sorry that is has been so long since I posted last, but I have been extremely busy. I am moving into college next Thursday, and as those of you who have gone to or who are currently in college know, there is a lot that needs to be done, especially when it's your first year!
That being said, with college starting, a lot of new, really exciting things are bound to begin happening in my life! I am going to school to be a Theatre Major, and I could not be more excited to begin the journey! I am going to be so busy all the time, but I know without a doubt that it's going to be worth it. I am so thrilled to be starting, and I cannot wait to share all of my experiences with you.
That ALSO being said, until things pick up for me in my life, I am at a loss of what to talk about on this lovely little blog of mine. So that's where all you lovely people come in! GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS! I would love to know what my readers would like to talk about, and I am open to anything and everything!
So below in that little section for comments, please feel free to give me suggestions on that to talk about on this little blog of mine! I promise that my blogging will become more regular now that i'm getting back into the sing of things, and I would love to be the blog that everyone anticipates reading, so if you all give me suggestions, I can make my blog something that you enjoy reading!
Thank you so much for following my blog, and I am so sorry again for not posting in such a long time. I promise that if you give me those suggestions, I will make it all up to you!
xoxo Karianne

Sara Bareilles Concert
OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS
So I went to the Sara Bareilles concert tonight, right? First off, it was a fantastic show! She sang a lot of her old music along with some of her new music and also some covers!
Emmy and I went, and our seats were general admission. The venue where we were at was amazing, and even though we were far away it was still an amazing seat.
We were just enjoying the concert, and about halfway through a guy came up to us and said:
"Do you two want second row seats?"
WHAT. WELL DUH.
So long story short, we got to see the second half of the concert from the center of the second row! The concert itself was so amazing, and Sara just blows me away.
I LOVE YOU SARA!
LOOK!:
She's flawless.
Just look at her.
Ugh.
I love you.
Thank you all for putting up with my freak out. Just..... SARA.

Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy. That is all.
No, that's actually not all. I'm only kidding. I'm sure you all have heard about the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy. They just finished their 10th season, which in itself I think is pretty fantastic. Let me just tell you, I am obsessed with this show.
Yes, a lot of the things that go on may be petty and unnecessary, but there is one thing about the show that really draws me in - the characters.
One thing that the writer of this hit drama Shonda Rhimes does very well is present the audience with dynamic characters to get to know and grow close to. Some characters you may love and some characters you may hate, but one thing can be said about every single character. They are all relatable; filled to the brim with raw human emotion and instinct.
This show is always guaranteed to make you feel something, and I think that is very important in any piece of work, whether it be art, music, TV, film, or literature. Art must illicit emotion in order for it to be impactful, and Grey's Anatomy is just that - impactful.
Like I said before, some of it is petty, and I have indeed found myself sitting there eagerly waiting for an end of an episode due to its lacking plot, but the characters are what really draw me to this incredibly thought provoking show.
The way some of the characters are presented really makes you think about your own emotions and really makes you turn inward and evaluate how you're living your own life.
That may sound a little dramatic, but I can say from first-hand experience that I have found that the personalities and life situations of the doctors on Grey's Anatomy have reflected my own life and situation on more than one occasion.

On a completely unrelated note, another thing that the show's writers and creators have done in the past couple of seasons that I have really enjoyed is their choice of music.
They have used a lot of alternative artists and singer/songwriters, which I really like. It adds a nice flair to the dramatic story lines. In the most recent season, they also took to using covers of 80's and 90's songs that are acoustic and kicked down a notch, and I think that was a brilliant move on their part. Just like with the singer/songwriters and alternative artist's music, the covers really add that needed jolt to the show, and it does am effective job of offsetting the usually painfully dramatic plot.
I have put some of the links to my favorite covers and songs from the past few seasons below:
Where Does The Good Go // Tegan And Sarah
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic // Sleeping At Last
Total Eclipse Of The Heart // Sleeping At Last
99 Red Balloons // Sleeping At Last
Tainted Love // Claire Gueresso
Fame // Mree
I'm So Excited // Le Tigre

The Vow
You want to know what movie messes me up? The Vow. You know that one with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum? Yeah, that one. But it doesn't necessarily mess me up in just a bad way. It messes me up in a good way, too.
The movie is based off the book with the same title by Nicholas Sparks, and it just really seems to get me every time.
Now, if you haven't seen this movie or read this book but you are still planning to, DO NOT READ AHEAD. I will not be held accountable for spoilers when I clearly warned you.
The main idea of this story is that there is this guy named Leo and this girl named Paige, and they're married. They're all perfectly in love; she's a sculptor and he's a recording artist. Like I mentioned, their love is fairytale perfect, that is, until they get in a car accident that changes everything. From the impact of the accident, Paige is left severely brain damaged. Paige does not remember that she is married to Leo, in fact she doesn't remember that she ever loved him at all. The whole rest of the movie is spent with Leo trying to get Paige to remember him and trying to get her to fall back in love with him.
Now, I'm not going to spoil the ending just in case someone so conveniently decided to skip over my warning message, but i'm sure the gist and the general theme can be deduced. All in all, it's a beautiful story, but it just hits me really hard.
Leo loves Paige so much that it's almost heartbreaking, and be for the accident it's clear to see that Paige loves him just as much. I've been in love before and (still am now), and no matter how many times I puns the words of the book or the scenes in the movie into my head, I still cannot wrap my mind around how difficult it must be to have the person who you you love most in the world forget that you exist, and even worse,t hat they ever loved you. My heart aches for Leo's, and I don't even know. I am so in love right now, head over heels even, and I cannot even imagine how heartbroken and reduced to barely nothing I would be if the person I love ever forgot me.
Why and I talking about this movie and book, do you ask? I am writing this rant from my couch as I bawl my eyes out into a wad of tissues as I watch the movie right now, that's why.
So thank you all for listening to my rant. I know it's somewhat insignificant, but I am one of those people that believes that if a piece of literature or art touches you in a particular way, you should share your opinion about it or your general feelings about it with the world, because what you say just may inspire others.
So, in short; I hope you've been inspired, and I hope my blog makes you all want to inspire others too. Maybe by reading how much the story of The Vow touched me, you will be encouraged to let things in and let them touch you too. But that's just wishful thinking, I guess.
As always, thanks for reading!

Julie Andrews - Home: A Memoir Of My Early Years
If any of you know me at all, you know that Julie Andrews is my absolute favorite person in the whole entire world. As a little girl, The Sound of Music was without a doubt my favorite movie. Though it still is one of my favorites today, as I have gotten older I have learned to appreciate her for her other work as well, and let me just tell you: Julie Andrews is without a doubt the most inspiring human being in the world to me, and her story gives me the courage to do what I do every single day!
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I am an actress, singer, and dancer and I have been almost my entire life. These three crafts are my passion, and I am even majoring in them in College. I would not truly be me if I was not doing these things, and I love what I do with all my heart. That being said, Julie Andrews' story has been one of the things that has kept me inspired and ready for what lies ahead!
For my 18th birthday, my best friend gave me a copy of Julie Andrew's book, Home: A Memoir Of My Early Years. The book changed me! In the novel, Julie talks about her struggles of growing up in London as a child performer as well as the hardships and triumphs that she experienced during her early years, all the way through the time she worked on The Sound of Music.
If you don't know much about Julie and would like to hear her story because you think it could inspire you like it has inspired me, please do not hesitate to pick up a copy of Home: A Memoir Of My Early Years at either your local bookstore (if they have it) or on Amazon!
I love Julie Andrews so much, and her story will always be a guiding force for me as I embark on my career as a professional actress. I hope that through sharing how her story has touched me, you are inspired to let her story reach you, too!

Sara Bareilles
Hello lovely readers! I am currently jamming out hardcore to Sara Bareilles. Sara is really really awesome, and I personally think that everyone in the whole wide world should like and appreciate her music.
I wish I could say that I discovered her music myself, but that is not the case. I owe that all to my best friend Emmy. She has liked Sara since the very beginning, and I owe my appreciation of Sara's wonderful stylings to her. (I also owe much more to her, but we'll get into that later.
I only started really listening to Sara about a year ago, but WOW WOW WOW I am so happy that I did. She has this unique thing about her where she has the ability to not only convey emotion through her music, but she also has the ability to make you feel that emotion too, which I think is so totally awesome.
Though I have only been acquainted with her recently, her music has helped me get through some really difficult times. Her music has been there when i've wanted to cry my eyes out and when i've just simply wanted to dance around my room, and I think it is so cool that her music is that versatile.
I am so excited because she is coming to Nautica on Friday and I get to go see her! YAY! Though I don't like her as much as my friend does, I am still beyond thrilled that I have been given the opportunity to go with her!
Does anyone else out there like Sara? If so, let me know! What's your favorite song of hers? I like a bunch of her songs, and i'm going to post one of them below for your enjoyment!
If you already know who Sara is and like her, I hope you enjoyed listening to the songs i'm sure you've heard a million times before, and if you didn't know who she was, I hope you grow to appreciate her as much as I do!
